CBR600F4i / CB900F Throttle Body Adapter - Prototype continue...

Well the F4i adapters are on the way!  I am excited.  I hope they fit.

 

Workin with Jason at www.chinaprototyping.com was excellent.  I won't hesitate to use them for more of my ideas.

CBR600F4i / CB900F Throttle Body Adapter - First Prototype Begin

I initially designed the adapter using LibreCad and Openscad.  Turns out, Openscad cannot generate a STEP file that CNC machine shop needs.  So I had to redo the design in FreeCad.  Here is the result:

It was a bit tricky getting my LibreCad DXF file imported correctly into FreeCad.  The main thing that was required is that I needed to import them as a drawing.  Then, convert each drawing to a sketch and join all connecting points.  It became a long process but it did worked.  The result was good.

At the moment, I am waiting for the CNC shop to make it!  Hopefully in a week or so, I will show the first prototype.
